Tip 1: Choose a theme
It’s important that the theme of Christmas decorations in the window is a good fit for your brand. A lifestyle boutique with muted colors is best suited to a soft palette of colors and Christmas decorations. A store with eccentric products in all the colors of the rainbow is obviously not complete without an exuberant Christmas theme. Take inspiration from the 2023 Christmas trend that focuses on the traditional Christmas-by-the-hearth feeling, characterized by colors such as navy blue, burgundy and tree green.
Tip 2: Choose an eye-catcher
If a shop window is too full, there is a good chance that a passerby will not see the wood for the trees. Instead, focus on a best-selling product or an eye-catcher and place it at eye level. Accentuate the focus product with Christmas decorations and make use of hierarchy: create different levels in height with window display materials such as shelves, blocks or wrapped Christmas packages. A moving element such as a turntable always works eye-catching as well. Stop by one of our stores for real eye-catchers!
Tip 3: Tell a story
This tip goes seamlessly with the previous tip: tell a story around the products you focus attention on. After all, the purpose of a window display is more than just showing products; you want to take the customer on a journey. To do this, use elements that fit the setting to complete the story around the product. Think candy houses when displaying food products, a back panel with a fireplace when displaying interior products or an art fireplace when displaying lifestyle accessories. Be creative!
Tip 4: Make sure you have good lighting
Good lighting is hugely important when displaying your products. It can make or break a shop window. With spotlights, as well as freestanding lamps or Christmas lights, you literally put the most important products in the spotlight. Chances are the product will catch the customer’s eye, hopefully resulting in a store visit.
