The faces behind Mila & Molly

Leroy and Jolin (both 28) launched their online concept store Mila & Molly in 2021. Here, they sell unique interior and fashion products and run sustainable dry flower workshops across Germany. As TICA member, they source much of their products from TICA Concept Store, where they are always on the lookout for special items for their customers. How did you end up at TICA?

I discovered TICA at the time when I was looking for vases and dried flowers for my workshops. I was looking for Dutch wholesalers, because I find that decoration in the Netherlands is much more beautiful and often ahead of the trend compared to Germany. This is how I ended up at TICA via the internet. It was only after I discovered TICA’s great range that I heard about TICA Concept Store. This inspired me to start my own online fashion shop in addition to our DIY workshops.

What is your experience shopping at TICA Concept Store?

I love travelling to TICA in the Netherlands. We are from Duisburg ourselves and always look forward to visiting TICA Concept Store. The friendly team helps us well and we are always warmly welcomed. The staff often show us what’s new and sometimes you even meet the brand owners who show you their latest items. Furthermore, everything in the shop is neat and attractively decorated, which I really like.

Which brands and products do you mainly buy from?

For our dried flower and jewellery workshops, I buy materials and decorations from TICA Venlo. At TICA Concept Store, I buy clothes and accessories for my online fashion shop. Here, the reversible cardigans from 1nig are a real favourite. Another brand we buy a lot of at the Concept Store is Temple of Treasure.

Does buying by the piece mean experimenting with new products more often?

Oh yes, definitely! I regularly check the newsletters to see what new brands and products are available. For example, through TICA Concept Store we discovered Temple of Treasure, a brand that sells beautiful handmade jackets, bag belts and phone cords. For us, buying by the piece is very convenient. It allows us to test products in our online shop without having to buy large quantities right away. This allows us to assess which items are popular with our customers and respond flexibly.

How do you find inspiration at TICA Concept Store?

I often get inspired by the styling of the mannequins. I have even bought outfits based on those combinations. The way garments and accessories are styled per Typical TICA theme gives me ideas for new looks and ways to present products in our own shop. Furthermore, I always look forward to the changing brands at TICA Concept Store, which gives me constant new inspiration.

Do you often buy seasonal items at the Concept Store?

Yes. Around the winter period, for example, we buy winter clothing from the brand Wow. In spring and summer, on the other hand, we choose colourful garments and accessories. Here, we pay close attention to the theme within TICA so that we always keep up with the latest trends. Partly thanks to the ever-changing collection at the Concept Store, we can offer our customers something suitable and unique all year round.
