For several years, Maaike Tadema has been selling her brand ‘Kaartjes van Maaike’ through Orderchamp to thousands of lifestyle professionals. Thanks to the cooperation between TICA and Orderchamp, she got the chance to participate in Orderchamp World in Aalsmeer last summer, allowing her to present her products to an even wider audience. Her shop-in-shop at TICA quickly became a great success, so she decided to expand the cooperation. Since last February, her shop-in-shop has been located in the branch’s Atrium, a beautiful location. “Participating in the Orderchamp World at TICA is for me one of the best choices I have made within my company!”, says Maaike.

What made you decide to sell at Orderchamp?

When I started Kaartjes van Maaike a few years ago and the business started getting more serious, I came in touch with Orderchamp. Orderchamp offered a great platform to showcase my products at great shops. So it seemed like a smart move to start selling at Orderchamp to give Kaartjes van Maaike more exposure. At that time, I didn’t yet have a B2B website, which meant B2B orders were handled via e-mail. This was very inconvenient with all the going back and forth emailing. Therefore, selling through Orderchamp was a good solution!

Kaartjes van Maaike was previously only available at Orderchamp. What convinced you to also participate in the physical Orderchamp World at TICA Aalsmeer?

Honestly, I have to say I was convinced pretty quickly! I thought it was a nice low-threshold way to give it a try at TICA. The advantage is that you don’t have to think out a complicated booth yet, just make sure the table is filled in a nice way. The contract was initially for six months, which also makes it perfect to test it out.

Besides, I already believed that Kaartjes van Maaike would be a good fit for TICA. Many of my ideal customers already shopped there or knew about it. This made Orderchamp World an opportunity I definitely did not want to pass on.

How did you experience Orderchamp World?

My experience with Orderchamp World was excellent. It was a great opportunity to give it a try, and successfully! TICA had created a beautiful setting with all sorts of lovely tables and cabinets, where customers could walk around looking for fun and innovative brands.

I got to decide the layout of my table myself, but I was also well thought of and given useful tips. For example, they suggested adding a card mill or an extra tray for the envelopes. The contact and consultation were pleasant. They completed the stand for me and kept it tidy, and occasionally I received photos of the stand via WhatsApp. This was ideal as I was unable to go to TICA every week to maintain the table.

Have your B2B sales increased since Orderchamp World?

B2B sales have definitely increased since our launch in Orderchamp World. Many nice shops noticed the cards at TICA and took them to their shops, therefore our sales points have increased. So it has definitely created brand awareness and recognition.

Since starting at TICA, we have had to scale up our stock quite a bit. Never before have we been able to buy so much from our printer and I’m always amazed at how quickly it runs out. Which of course is a very good sign, because things are going very well. Every week we check sales and make sure new stock is packed so that there are enough cards in the booth again.

Which products sell best online (via Orderchamp) and which offline (at TICA)?

What an interesting question! In fact, there is definitely a noticeable difference. In general, cards finished with gold foil sell better offline. I think this is because you can’t really show online how beautiful that gold foil is. At TICA, you can hold the cards and have a good look at them, which gives you a good impression of the gold foil finish. It is difficult to show this in a picture online, because the nice thing is that the gold foil on our cards really comes to life and you can even feel the texture.

Would you recommend other entrepreneurs to join Orderchamp World?

Definitely! It is an excellent opportunity to grow your business and discover new opportunities. Personally, I have found working with TICA very pleasant. Communication is fast and efficient, the team is always ready to think with me and I am regularly updated about my shop-in-shop. It really is a valuable experience that I would heartily recommend to others.
