Women empowerment

Luna-Leena designs all its products, such as toys, key rings, home accessories, decoration, garlands, greeting cards and jewellery, in the Netherlands. These sustainable items are then handcrafted by women in Nepal. The women’s team produces high-quality crochet, knitting, macramé and paper products in a sustainable manner. Natural materials such as organic cotton, wool and eco-friendly paper are used, without having to cut down trees. Luna-Leena promotes better living and working conditions for women and their families in Kathmandu. Each product is unique and made with love, making it pure handicraft. And as a fun fact: Luna-Leena is named after the two daughters of a woman on the team, who, thanks to the collaboration, are able to get an education that will help them have a better future. That’s women empowerment!
