My name is Amber van Rangelrooij and I have been the proud owner of Aesthetic Studios since 2019. After graduating from the Fine Arts programme at St Joost in Breda in 2020, I started developing and presenting ceramic objects under the name Aesthetic Studios. My passion for creating objects and presenting them led to the creation of my company.
While attending ShowUp, I met Yvonne (Concept Store Manager of TICA Concept Store). We talked about the opportunities available to exhibitors at TICA. We were able to quickly develop and shape the collaboration. With Aesthetic Studios, I want to create unique and artistic objects that are an inspiring addition to any interior. The collaboration with TICA gives me the opportunity to showcase my work to a wider audience and further grow my brand.
During the Look Feel & Buying Days, I will demonstrate part of the production process and explain more about how I arrive at a product. I expect the collaboration with TICA to expand my network, from retailers to (interior) stylists who can make good use of my products in beautiful settings.
From my Tiny Atelier in Zaltbommel, I am responsible for the entire process. That includes; conceptualising, designing the moulds to producing and marketing the products. My adventure began with the launch of my first collection called ‘The Originals Collection’. These sophisticated objects, such as the Goldbear, Mona Love, Dreamy Cloud and an ice cream upside down, are versatile in use and can serve as candleholders, vases or simply as decorative objects. The objects fit into any interior due to their original clay colour combined with a white glossy glaze.
Over time, I have expanded my range to include collections such as ‘The Merchandise Collection’, ‘The Limited Collection’ and ‘The Object Collection’. From September 2023, my products will be available as ‘TICA Talent’ at TICA Concept Store Venlo and in the Atrium at TICA Aalsmeer.
Aesthetic Studios’ target audience consists mainly of women aged between 25 and 45. They are passionate, love interior design and follow the latest trends. They appreciate craft products and strive to be sustainable when buying new accessories and gifts. My products are seen as works of art or unique objects in the home, which they are happy to spend a little more budget for.
What sets Aesthetic Studios apart from other interior design brands is its unique approach as an artist. I approach my brand from my artistic vision and not purely from a commercial point of view. Although I started with the brand as an outlet for my artistic research, I now realise that marketing and branding are an essential part of art. I am researching how to apply the marketing strategies of big brands like Prada and Gucci to generate attention for my own work. This is why I have chosen to brand myself as Aesthetic Studios; a brand name that creates distance and volume. This is reflected in my presentations, where the conceptual aspect appeals to the client first. The collection is part of this concept and can be seen as a piece of art that clients can bring into their homes or give as a gift.
