For Jolanda of JS Interior Styling, interior styling is about more than just beautiful furniture and accessories. Her goal is to create an interior that radiates tranquility, warmth, and unity. A place where you flop down on the sofa after a busy workday and immediately think: I’m home.
She started her own business two years ago. Driven by her passion for interiors, she helps clients restyle their homes. One principle is always central: unity.
“At TICA, I constantly discover new brands, materials, and home accessories that inspire me for my projects.”
For Jolanda, a successful interior starts with cohesion. Although personal preferences play an important role, she sees the same challenge recurring in many homes.
“The most common mistake people make is combining too many different elements. This leads to a lack of cohesion. By carefully coordinating colors, materials, and styles, you create tranquility in an interior.”
According to her, this unity ensures that a space feels pleasant and truly like home.
For new ideas, Jolanda looks beyond home stores and trend reports. She often finds her greatest sources of inspiration in unexpected places.
During vacations, hotel visits, and dinners, she always observes her surroundings closely. How does a space feel? What materials were used? And why does a certain layout work so well?
“I’m always looking around. How does a space feel? What materials were used? I take those details with me into my projects.”

In every project, the client’s wishes are central. If Jolanda has a piece of furniture or a mood board in mind, she always discusses it with the client first.
“A client might love a sofa but would prefer a different color. That’s possible, of course. Together, we look for the best solution that fits the space and the person.”
This personal approach ensures that every interior matches the resident’s wishes.
According to Jolanda, it’s important as an interior professional to stay informed about developments within the industry. By continuing to look at new styles, materials, and collections, she constantly develops herself and her designs.
“Trends change constantly, especially with the younger generation. That’s why I like to keep gaining inspiration and discovering new collections.”
One of the places where Jolanda loves to get inspiration is TICA Projects Venlo. Here she finds a wide range of brands, materials, and home accessories that help her put together a unique interior for every client. Discovering new collections fits perfectly with her way of working: keep looking, combining, and developing new ideas.
