Frequently Asked Questions
01 - General
Why are we moving?
Everyone who works here knows the challenges of the current building: too hot in summer and too cold in winter. This is resolved in the new building. Additionally, we expect lower maintenance costs and less time spent on repairs.
When are we moving?
The exact moving date will be determined after the summer and will likely be at the end of March 2027. The principle is that TICA will remain open during the move. This means we will carefully prepare everything step by step, so exhibitors and members notice as little disruption as possible.
How do I stay informed about the move?
We will keep everyone regularly informed via Viva Engage, AFAS, the move update page, and through managers.
Will anything be organized for moving day?
Yes! We are organizing a moving day and opening event for the entire team, exhibitors, members, and top suppliers. More information will follow soon.
Is there an introduction or tour of the new building for staff?
Yes. On Wednesday, June 17, we are organizing a tour of the construction site for staff. More information will follow soon!
02 - Workplace & daily working environment
Will I get a new workspace and who sits where?
The new building is laid out more efficiently and clearly, with all departments relocated to logical places. The floor plan will be shared soon, so everyone gets clarity about their new spot.
Will anything change in my work activities?
A new environment always brings small changes in working methods. If anything changes for you, you will be informed in a timely manner. The principle of the new building is clear: to make work more efficient and more enjoyable.
Will opening hours and schedules be adjusted?
No. Opening hours and schedules remain the same.
Where will the staff entrance be?
The staff entrance is at the top. After parking, you walk in, hang up your coat, put your belongings in a locker, clock in, and go to your workspace. There may be a second clock-in option; more details on this will follow.
Will everyone have lunch in the canteen?
Absolutely! The new canteen is the place to have lunch together and catch up with colleagues.
Is there a rooftop terrace?
Yes! Need some fresh air or want to catch some sun during your break? You can do so on the rooftop terrace, which connects directly to the canteen.
How is the climate in the building regulated?
The climate throughout the building is pleasant and stable year-round, with a comfortable temperature between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius. This means you’ll no longer suffer from cold winters or overly hot summer days on the work floor.
Are there better facilities for staff in the new building?
Yes. Think of a modern canteen, faster Wi-Fi, better sanitary facilities, a shower, a rooftop terrace, and a pleasant indoor climate of 18–21°C.
Will we get new company clothing?
There are currently no plans for that.
03 - Accessibility and parking
Where Can I Park?

Not at this time. You will be informed via your manager about what will happen and what is expected of you.
