From January 1, 2026, the legislation regarding cash payments will change. This may have consequences for your purchasing at TICA. From that date, it will no longer be permitted to pay cash for amounts of €3,000 or higher. The maximum amount that can be paid in cash is therefore €2,999.99.

This new rule is part of the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Act (Wwft) and helps to combat financial crime.

Does your total amount exceed this limit? Then you can easily pay the remaining amount via debit card, credit card or bank transfer. Please note: splitting payments (for example, multiple cash transactions for one purchase) is legally prohibited.

Plan your shopping day smartly and make sure you always have a debit card or business payment option at hand. This way you avoid surprises at the checkout and you can continue to shop carefree at TICA!
