Nomi (left): I’m Nomi Verbakel (24) and started four years ago as a Styling Marketing Intern at TICA. As a creative all-rounder, I didn’t want to choose just one direction right after my internship. Fortunately, I could stay at TICA and develop further as a Social Creative Stylist. Now I’m a Social Media Marketer responsible for optimizing social channels and their creative content. I spend a lot of time styling, designing, and attending photo shoots to transform them into social content. In my free time, I enjoy being with friends and family, and I love giving my nails the most beautiful colors and designs!
Elisa (right): My name is Elisa van der Zwet – Hennekens (25) – newly married and very pregnant! I started at TICA in 2020 as a Visual Merchandiser. A year and a half later, I took a different direction and became an Event Coordinator. I still thoroughly enjoy doing this! Together with my colleagues, I organize the most exciting events for TICA members, exhibitors, and colleagues. In my free time, you’ll find me on the tennis court or together with my friends and family.
“Typical TICA for us is, the search for hidden gems, the variety of work and the quick shift between trends!
Nomi: Through a housemate, I met TICA’s Studio Manager (Marloes van Frankenhuyzen). We got talking about TICA and clicked immediately; not surprising with two creative minds together. I’m a true interior enthusiast and was very excited. Not long after, I had my first job interview.
Elisa: I’ve always been interested in interior design, and TICA is naturally the interior paradise where you want to work. After an open application, I was hired, and I’ve learned so much since then!
Nomi: At TICA, there are many possibilities, and ideas are always welcome. Additionally, every day is different due to various campaigns and projects. One day I’m setting up a styling point, and the next day I’m scheduling dozens of Instagram posts. And perhaps most importantly: we work with a very pleasant, young team.
Elisa: Yes, our team is really great, that’s so important! I really enjoy the close collaboration with Nomi; the workshops, lectures, and events that I organize, Nomi then shares across all social channels.

Nomi: As a Social Media Marketer, I get my inspiration – naturally – from Pinterest, Instagram, and TikTok. I also observe carefully at festivals and events. But I look around wherever I go; when you search for inspiration online it’s very focused, but in real life, it’s always a surprise what you encounter.
Elisa: I frequently attend interior design fairs and look at the setup of workshop spaces and the latest interior trends. I also draw inspiration from the TICA theme that changes every two months, ensuring the event aligns well with it. Collaborations with exhibitors and TICA members also generate ideas.
Nomi: We always look at the needs of our TICA members. In May and June, the demand for fashion and lifestyle items is higher, so festival must-haves are prominently featured in the styling points, on our social channels, and in the TICA Concept Store Venlo.
Elisa: In May, we’re organizing a Network BBQ at TICA Venlo, where exhibitors, TICA members, and colleagues can get to know each other better in an informal setting. The BBQ decoration perfectly matches the Festival Vibe theme and is provided by event agency and TICA member This Affects.
Nomi: I find Expo Bazaar items truly beautiful; the sleek designs with artisanal features make them real designer showpieces for me. I like to combine these with the colorful items from Kersten.
Elisa: I think WAUW’s clothing is cool! They always keep up well with trends. Additionally, I love Kersten’s products, and I’m often found at the Atrium, browsing among all the beautiful brands.
Nomi: At the Network BBQ at TICA Venlo and the opening of our new location in Ede. On weekends you’ll find me at festivals, and I’m going on tour with a good friend.
Elisa: Of course at the Network BBQ, and then my maternity leave begins. Our daughter will be born in early July, and afterward we’ll enjoy trips within the country.
Nomi: Finding hidden gems. You tend to go to your favorite brands, but you find the coolest items by browsing stands you wouldn’t normally visit.
Elisa: The variety of work and quickly adapting to trends. I also immediately think of our colleagues who have been working at TICA with passion and pleasure for years.
