Dear exhibitors,
Worldwide, we see an economy under pressure. In Northern Europe, growth has leveled off, cost structures have become structurally higher, and markets are moving more erratically than we’ve been used to in recent years. Entrepreneurs are dealing with rising wages, higher rents, more expensive materials, and increasing logistics costs. This puts margins under pressure and requires sharp choices.
We are also feeling this dynamic within TICA. Results are under pressure for some of our exhibitors, costs are rising, and the market is visibly changing in terms of buying behavior, visitor frequency, and category development. This has an impact on confidence and mutual dynamics. Based on messages from some of you regarding our shared future and challenges, we would like to start a conversation, as your concerns are understandable.
Especially in this phase, it is essential that we don’t react based on assumptions or gut feelings, but on facts. What do visitor numbers, turnover, category performance, and cost developments actually show? Where is the core of the challenge, and where are the demonstrable opportunities for us together? And what can you do with this information to assess your own performance as well?
